Rock armour arrives from
Norway. It takes 11 days for the barge, the
(Mebau )to leave for Norway to pick up its load
and return to Scarborough |

Work stops at high tide for
these machines, but starts again as soon as the
tide is low enough ,even in the middle of the
night. |

The North Bay before work
really gets under way The area in the middle of
the picture will be where most of the rock armour
will be stored. |

As the tide gets low enough
work starts transferring the large rocks to where
they are wanted, Some of the rocks can weigh up
to 5 tons |
